Colour Sound Experiment Lights Secret Garden Party

Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, UK – Colour Sound Experiment (CSE) supplied lighting for five main ‘operated’ stages and about 30 other performance areas dotted around the site at the 2012 Secret Garden Party.  The boutique festival, now in its 10th year, battled with wet weather on the set-up. The resulting large volumes of mud restricted access around the site, making it more of a challenge to ensure that all was rigged-and-ready for the sold-out festival to open on time.

GLP Lights German TV Show ‘The Dome’

ESSEN, Germany – German lighting designer Nik Evers has been using GLP’s impression Wash One and impression 90 for “The Dome,” a popular music TV show in Germany. Evers uses the GLP fixtures not only to highlight the architectural elements of the show’s theatre interior – as a former industrial facility – but also for the stage lighting, preferring to light the artists like a concert rather than as a TV show.

Production Partners Help SCLA Bring Shakespeare to Healthcare Center

LOS ANGELES – For the first time in approximately 20 years, the Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles (SCLA) returned to the Japanese Garden on the grounds of the VA West Los Angeles Healthcare Center campus with their summer production of As You Like It, directed by Royal Shakespeare Company artist Kenn Sabberton. The Center chose the location partly because Artistic Director Ben Donenberg remembered the beauty of the space when they performed there in the early 1990s, but also as a continuation of their work to make Shakespeare vital for everyone—in this case, veterans.
