Green-GO Communications Digital Intercom over Ethernet

Green-GO is a new communications system that plugs into an existing PoE Ethernet network. As such, it promises to serve as an alternative to intercom and cueing systems that rely on separate networks of discrete wiring or dedicated data networks and proprietary protocols, sometimes with complex and expensive central management equipment. For digital voice communication, users connect the outstations they need. Once set up, all group data is stored locally so there is no need for an expensive central matrix. For optional stage management cue lights and text messages, users can add a Green-GO multi-channel desk and laptop.

Rose Brand Scholarship Winner

Ryan Grossheim Wins 2012 Rose Brand Scholarship

SECAUCUS, NJ – Ryan Grossheim won the 2012 Rose Brand Scholarship worth $5,000, announced last night at the USITT Conference in Long Beach, CA.  Grossheim is a graduate student studying scenic design at San Diego State University. In addition, a  $2,500 Rose Brand credit was awarded to his university to enhance their theater program.

Iluminarc Colors MGM Macau

MACAU, China – LD Matt Levesque chose 95 Iluminarc wash lights to enhance the MGM Macau’s domed courtyard, the Grand Praca. Color-changing Ilumipanel 180 IP wash lights are used to downlight and sidelight the plaza’s manicured landscape, pathways and the building facades surrounding it. They are also put into use during special live performances and events.

Tiny FX, Viper NT Foggers Play Part in Yale Theatre Premiere

WILLIAMSPORT, MD – Look Solutions’ TINY FX and Viper NT foggers played a part in the premier of “Good Goods,” which made its world premiere at Yale Repertory Theatre recently.  A Viper NT is deployed for two industrial smokestacks which appear in a factory seen upstage. Two TINY FX foggers are used for effects in which the characters appear to cough up smoke.
