Forcast, a South of France-based broadcast, video and AV rental services company, has acquired Action Monaco from the Avesco Group. With the merger, Forcast becomes one of the largest AV rental/broadcast and video facilities service operation in France outside of Paris. With Action’s main office in Monaco and Forcast’s three facilities along the Cote D’Azur, all easily accessible to main intercontinental highways, the companies can combine both equipment and resources to cost-effectively service projects from Barcelona to Milan as well as farther afield in Europe.

ZWOLLE, Netherlands – The first Ice Sculpture Festival in Zwolle, Holland features more than 40 ice sculptors who created sea animals, ocean monsters and other characters in ice for the nautical themed event. Naturally, lighting needed to be low heat-emitting, and the Philips fixtures fit the bill. LD Jasper Schimmel used a number of Philips Selecton Pacific and PL3 LED Luminaires from Rolight to create a dramatic lightscape. The festival runs to Jan. 29.
