Anolis Specified to Light Art Installation at Museum in Australia

VICTORIA, Australia — Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA)’s new Caulfield Campus features an iconic entranceway that includes Silverscreen, a 20-meter-high sculpture made from galvanized steel by contemporary artist Callum Morton. The design by Bluebottle includes the use of 80 Anolis ArcSource LED fixtures, chosen in part for their energy efficiency as an environmentally-friendly solution.

POITIERS, France – For Moonlight, the new pre-show for The Little Prince 4D attraction at the Futuroscope theme park, a luminous tube leads visitors through a snail shell-shaped area with visual and  animatronic representations of sea creatures.  Technology from Alcorn McBride — LightCue Pro, V4 Pro, Video Binloop and Alcorn’s Touch Interface software — play a key role in creating the experience for visitors to the attraction.

Martin Professional Announces New Organization in Spain

MADRID — Martin Professional A/S and its distributor in Spain, Ecler, announced plans for a new distribution arrangement starting Sept. 10 where Martin will serve some customers directly and Ecler will supply Martin gear to other users of the company’s products. Martin also announced that it had hired three of Ecler’s managers – Eduard Baró, Fernando Moya and Eduard Muñoz – to handle its local operations in Spain.

DALLAS – Philips Strand Lighting and Philips Selecon are restructuring their management ranks to include three new regional commercial leader positions. Julie Smith, based in Dallas, has been named general commercial manager for Philips Strand Lighting and Philips Selecon North America.  The two other regional commercial leaders include Graham Eales, commercial general manager for Australia/New Zealand, and Selwyn Jonker, commercial manager for the Asia-Pacific Region.

Revered by many worldwide and referred to by his followers as “His Holiness,” the Dalai Lama is no conventional “talent,” and this was no ordinary lecture hall — but the University of Arkansas’ Bud Walton Arena – a basketball arena.
