Chauvet’s Q-Wash 260-LED LED moving head is designed to be fast and compact, with 37 high-power RGB LEDs and a narrow 6° beam angle that promises to punch through almost any environment. It offers electronic dimming and strobe with no moving parts, and users can program and store a scene into the 255-step onboard memory to run a show without an external DMX controller. Artistic Licence Expands Data Capacity with Art-Net 3

LONDON — Artistic Licence Engineering announced the release of Art-Net 3. Fully backward-compatible with previous versions, this free-of-charge Ethernet protocol is now capable of handling a 32,768 universes (32 “Kiloverses”) of DMX lighting control. Art-Net II, by contrast, had a data capacity of 256 universes.

ETC Previews LED Source Four, Gio Console at CUE Conference

MADISON, WI — ETC hosted their first-ever CUE (Create, Understand, Experience) conference July 25-27 and used the opportunity to train, entertain, and preview new products. On July 25, ETC introduced their new Gio console, which is set to debut in September. On July 26, during his keynote address, Fred Foster, founder and CEO of ETC, previewed the ETC LED Source Four, set to launch in early 2012.
