Alcorn McBride To Bring New Products and Training to InfoComm 2011

ORLANDO – Alcorn McBride will introduce two new products at the InfoComm show in June. New items include a workflow solution for Alcorn McBride video players and an enhanced version of the 8TraXX multi-channel audio player. The company will also hold a show control training session.

8-TraXX – This updated version of Alcorn McBride’s popular audio playback unit now offers Ethernet control and remote update along with contact closure, voltage, RS-232 or MIDI control. With the 8TraXX, users can access eight independent stereo tracks from a single, economical rack-mount unit. Tracks are individually triggered for maximum flexibility in attraction designs.

Da-Lite Renews and Expands ISO 14001 Certification

WARSAW, IN – Da-Lite Screen Company has achieved re-certification of its International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001:2004 Environmental Management System (EMS) for its worldwide headquarters facility located in Warsaw, Indiana. Additionally, the certification has been expanded to include Da-Lite’s manufacturing facilities in Wichita, Kansas and Cincinnati, Ohio.

AARHUS, DENMARK – Seeking to satisfy his curiosity, or perhaps confirm industry buzz, Stephan Aue, lighting and scenic designer for Swedish electronica band Covenant, decided to see how bright the super compact Martin MAC 101 really was. Aue, who also serves as lighting op for part of the band’s “Modern Ruin” tour that has the band touring Europe throughout the year, is using 24 of the compact wash lights, which he transports in a single Sprinter van. Lighting supply is by Ambion GmbH.
