Tinc Handles Production Design for Gallery Addressing Death Penalty

NEW YORK — Tinc Design & Productions provided production design and technical management for the New York premiere of the audiovisual art installation, One After, which addressed the death penalty issue in Texas at New York’s Openhouse Gallery.  Tinc was responsible for the design of the event’s gallery space and its video and lighting elements, with Lance Darcy acting as production designer and Ryan Kirk as production manager.

In Memoriam: Michael Philippi, 58

CHICAGO — Lighting Designer Michael Philippi died suddenly Oct. 27 while walking to Chicago’s Goodman Theatre, where he was working on a production of the Alan Gross play, High Holidays. The cause of death was unclear.

Bruce Springsteen Cancels Kansas City Gig, Might Perform in NYC

KANSAS CITY, MO — Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band cancelled a performance here Oct. 26 after the sudden death of Lenny Sullivan, 34. Sullivan, Springsteen’s cousin, was assistant tour manager. Springsteen’s next performance was slated for Madison Square Garden on Oct. 29 at the first of two Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary concerts. Springsteen and the band are expected to perform.
