Proel Acquires Sagitter Brand, Plant from Lampo

Barco Launches Transformable LEDs

KUURNE, Belgium —Barco has introduced transformable LEDs, which allow designers to use its LED technology in freeform shapes. The company introduced its new concept to over 200 European and Asian customers attending Barco’s 10th annual Rental Partner Meeting. The product will be introduced to U.S. customers at Barco’s North American rental partner meeting, set for March 9 to 12.

Clay Paky Donates Gear to Rose Bruford College

KENT, U.K.—Italian lighting manufacturer Clay Paky has donated intelligent lighting fixtures to Rose Bruford College in Kent to support their Honors Lighting Design program for undergrad students. The fixtures—four 1200 Stage Zoom and six Golden Scan units—will be added to the program’s teaching and production stock of generic and automated luminaires.

First Presbyterian Church Selects Broadcast Pix Slate 1000HD for Live Broadcasts

CHARLOTTE, NC — First Presbyterian Church (FPC) is using Broadcast Pix’s Slate 1000HD for live television broadcasts. The system powers the church’s live broadcast of weekly services on Channel 9 WSOC-TV at 11 a.m. on Sunday mornings. FPC services have been broadcast for more than 40 years and have a weekly audience of more than 22,000 people. FPC purchased the unit and integrated it through Clark Powell, a Charlotte-based system integrator and Broadcast Pix dealer.
