Robert Juliat Followspots for Alice Tully Hall

NEW YORK — Two Robert Juliat Victor 1800W followspots have been installed at  the renovated Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, which is used for music, theater, dance and film.  Part of a multi-theater project, the renovation required that 150 existing fixtures be picked up and refurbished, with the purchase of a few new instruments as well.

New Soccer Complex To Use Panasonic Gear

CHESTER, PA — Panasonic Systems Solutions Company has been named the “official technology partner,” for an 18,500-seat major league soccer stadium and Delaware River waterfront complex set to open in this Philadelphia suburb in 2010. The company will supply the complex’s large screen displays, digital signage, broadcast and TV production systems, security/surveillance systems and point-of-sale systems.

Tower of David Spectacular Controlled by Medialon

JERUSULEM — ETC France and Protech Integration are using Medialon Manager to control a light and sound spectacular projected onto the restored citadel surrounding the Tower of David in the center of Jerusulem. The 45-minute show, which runs four times per week, was created by Skertzo, and joins a tradition of exhibits and projects at the site that illuminate its historic significance with modern technology.

USITT ETCP Exam Application Deadline is Feb. 27

CINCINNATI — The deadline to apply for the paper and pencil ETCP certification exams at the 2009 USITT Conference & Stage Expo March is Feb. 27. Certification candidates for the entertainment electrician exam set for March 20, or for the theatre-style rigging and arena-style rigging exams set for March 21, will need to have their application, supporting materials and fee postmarked no later than Feb. 27 in order to take those tests.

Event Tech Moves to New Facility

BALTIMORE, MD — After 15 years in Hanover, Md., Event Tech has moved to a new facility in Baltimore that is twice the size of the company’s old location. The 30,000 square-foot facility includes 22,000 square feet of warehouse space and about 5,000 square feet of office space, including a glass-walled conference room and technician’s lounge.
