Nominations Announced for the 94th Annual Academy Awards

 

 

 

The nominees for the 94th Annual Academy Awards were announced this morning, February 8, 2022. The 94th Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the Dolby® Theatre at Hollywood & Highland® in Hollywood and will be televised live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Apply for the Andrew Lloyd Webber Initiative University Scholarships by Feb. 28, 2022

The American Theatre Wing is now accepting applications for its 6th year of the Andrew Lloyd Webber Initiative University Scholarships – established for high school seniors from populations historically underrepresented in the theater industry. Actors’ Equity Association Announces New Public Health Consultants

Actors’ Equity Association, the national labor union representing more than 51,000 professional stage managers and actors in live theatre, has announced that a team of doctors led by Dr. Mark Cunningham-Hill—and includes Dr. Laura S. Welch and Dr. Steven J. Anderson—are the new public health consultants for the union, effective immediately. UK’s ‘Theatres at Risk Register’ Expands by 10, Total of 41 Venues in Danger of Being Lost

Theatres Trust, the charity that campaigns to protect the UK’s theatres, has published its annual Theatres at Risk Register. 10 theatres have been added to the 2022 Register, far more than in any recent years, as the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is being felt across the theatre sector.
