Breaking New Ground with “Bliss” and Rayzor 760 at 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle

SEATTLE – The theatrical premiere of the new musical, Bliss, which challenges assumptions about what a fairytale princess should be, ran at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle from Feb. 7-23. The unorthodox ethos carried into the lighting rig as well, with LD Yael Lubetzky using Elation Rayzor 760 luminaires from Christie Lites in her design.

Alice Merton “Mint +4” Tour Rig Includes GLP Fixtures

COPENHAGEN, Denmark – German Canadian singer Alice Merton managed to complete a run of “Mint +4” club tour dates by early March before Covid-19 brought live shows to a halt. The rig included GLP KNV Dots, KNV Lines and impression E350 fixtures, with Merton’s manager Paul Grauwinkel and lighting tech/operator Maximilian Hermsdorf creating the looks.

Unions and Guilds Issue Joint Letter to Entertainment Industry Professionals

NEW YORK – IATSE’s Matthew Loeb joined heads of other unions to pen a letter to entertainment industry professionals affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and live event blackout. The other unions and guilds include the American Federation of Musicians, the Directors Guild of America, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and the Writers Guild of America.
