VIGO, Spain – A 30-meter section of a crowded wooden pier gave way during a music festival in the coastal city of Vigo in northwest Spain on Aug. 12, sending hundreds of spectators, many of them teens, tumbling into the water. More than 300 were treated for injuries ranging from scrapes and bruises to broken arms and legs. No fatalities were reported. The incident took place close to midnight on the last night of a three-day “O Marisquino” music festival while urban hip-hop artist Daniel Vidal, a.k.a. Rels B, performed. Five of the injured were reported to be in serious condition. First responders include police and paramedics. Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.

MORRISON, CO – The Tedeschi Trucks Band hit the road again in 2018 with their “Wheels Of Soul” tour. The summer trek launched in Jacksonville, FL in late June and wrapped up with two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO July 28-29. Lighting director Brian Pirrone used an all-LED rig supplied by BML Blackbird that included Martin, Claypaky and Chauvet fixtures.
