SUNRISE, FL – Chauvet Professional reports that their Maverick MK2 Wash is now available. The fixture promises to open new ways for designers to incorporate LED washes into tours, theatrical productions and other applications. Part of the Chauvet Professional Maverick series, the fixture is powered by 12 Osram 40-watt RGBW LEDs and features a custom designed optical system, along with full spectrum color mixing and impressive brightness and speed.

Blizzard Lighting adds to its Colorise family of fixtures the Colorise™ Zoom RGBAW. The fixtures come fitted with 36 3W RGBAW LEDs, an impressive 10° to 40° zoom-able beam angle and a diffused optical lens. The fixture is fully equipped with a built-in AnyFi™ wireless DMX receiver, and it is designed to support standard 2.4Ghz and W-DMX signal types.

Ayrton’s MagicPanel line of fixtures expands with the MagicPanel-FX. The fixture’s front face features a 5×5 array of new squared lenses, allowing for a new array of 2D graphical effects. Each of the 25 squared 65mm output lenses have an optical surface equivalent to that of an 80mm round lens, which means MagicPanel-FX also produces a beam capable of creating new 3D volumetric effects. A new optical zoom system with no visible moving parts outside the unit is part of the design. The new system has a 15:1 zoom ratio, with a zoom range of 3.5 to 52 degrees. The unit is capable of projecting everything from tight shafts of light to a wide wash, which makes it ideal for pixelmapping or for use as a powerful special effects projector, or as a wash light. Yvan Péard, Ayrton’s chief design and technology officer, is credited with the unique fixture design.

Gaffer’s tape is intended to leave a clean surface behind, but many brands leave surfaces sticky after a long term application. Gerriets worked with German adhesive experts to develop a new line of gaff tape, G-GAFF, that can be trusted to pull off clean.

SAN ANTONIO, TX, – Venus X3 Live brings together sophisticated presentation switching with advanced mixing capabilities into a single device. The vision mixer console includes broadcast style features for quick access during any performance, along with dual eight-inch LCD displays to monitor video sources, full preview, as well as live/program display monitoring. At the rear of the X3 Live, the familiar X3 modular routing platform becomes apparent, with a host of new options and features tailored to presentation applications.

Avolites’ Titan v10 software is now available to download for free onto all consoles from the Tiger Touch Pro (inclusive) onwards. Some older consoles may be compatible with v10 if an upgrade kit is fitted; if you are unsure please contact Avolites. Titan v10 is the result of a year of research and development by a dedicated team of Avolites developers, enhancing the best loved features of Titan v9 and introducing a wealth of new ones. Many of the new features have been created in response to user and industry feedback.

The Axis Grid from Mega-Lite offers up an array of eye-candy effects with infinite pan and tilt, making it a dynamic moving head fixture. This 36 LEDs are arranged in a grid capable of pixel control for displaying letters, numbers and shapes. The 10W RGBW LEDs are also designed to create a colorful, punchy beam. The Axis Grid is controlled via DMX 512 or Art-Net and has a macro channel featuring pre-programmed letters and numbers.

Ayrton is extending its RS line of products with the AlienPix-RS, a multi-rotational fixture that combines a variety of effects within a single luminaire. Developed to give lighting designers more scope and inspiration to enhance their work, the AlienPix-RS provides six extraordinary beams of light and eight continuous rotational axes. AlienPix-RS is formed of five spot heads surrounding a central disk, each of which contains a tight, 3.5-degree RGBW LED emitter. Each emitter has a center-beam luminous intensity of over 180 candelas per lumen and can be controlled individually. The five surrounding spot heads can each tilt continuously as the main saucer with central emitter pans, tilts and rotates in any direction. Powerful tri-phase stepper motors allow fast, accurate and silent positioning.  In total AlienPix-RS can simultaneously perform up to eight multi-directional continuous rotations and deliver a total light output up to 6,000 lumens/1,080,000 cd. The fixture is well suited for crazy configurations of light, color and movement that redefine the mid-air space.

ADJ’s Ninja 5RX is a new multi-beam effect fixture with four independently tilting mirrors and a range of color/GOBO effects. It makes use of the Philips MSD Platinum 5R discharge lamp, co-engineered with ADJ. The fixture promises to give users the ability to scatter slicing beams of light around the room, stage or dance-floor, for an eye-catching, crowd-pleasing display.

Digital Projection International’s (DPI) E-Vision Laser 8500, featured at InfoComm in Las Vegas earlier this month, offers users 8,500 lumens and 20,000 hours of illumination. This single chip projector was developed with DPI’s ‘Fit and Forget’ directive, promising that it will need only minimal maintenance throughout the lifetime of the display.
