Blackmagic Design’s Blackmagic Camera 1.9.9 is a major software update with multiple new features for the Blackmagic URSA digital film camera, developed with input from cinematographers. New features include 80 fps 4K recording, new 3:1 compressed RAW, frame guides, slow-mo playback, CFast formatting, scrolling menus and more. Blackmagic Camera 1.9.9 can be downloaded now from the Blackmagic Design web site. Company CEO Grant Petty, pictured here, explains the details on the update in a company video.

The Futurelight DMB-160 from Steinigke Showtechnic uses a 150 W COB LED to give show designers the moving beam looks that have grown popular in recent years.

W-DMX launched its COB (Chip on Board) transceiver solution in an ultra compact 6x6mm size. The SMT mounted Chip On Board radio transceiver supports both DMX and RDM in a QFN48 package. The W-DMX COB is a low energy solution with only 40mA current consumption and facilitates distances up to 250 meters with a 2dBi standard antenna and BlackBox F-1MK2. A low cost solution that makes it possible for every fixture to have original W-DMX inside.

Avolites’ Quartz compact Quartz console made its way from PLASA London in October to LDI in Las Vegas in November. Group One Limited featured the console during the Nov. 21-23 exhibition at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Martin’s RUSH MH 5 Profile is now available. The fixture is designed to serve as a compact and bright LED profile moving head with efficient optics for a variety of effects and colors. The fixture comes with two color wheels, two gobo wheels and rotating prism. Its compact size and budget-friendly price makes it well suited to the needs of DJs, bands, clubs, bars, cruise ships and installations where small footprint and low weight is critical.

QolorFLEX NuNeon lets users achieve the same visual effects as standard neon lights, with the reliability, brightness, and ease-of-installation of LED lighting. Totally encased in a translucent silicone material, the LEDs read as a continuous light source for a truly neon look. Sold in 50M reels or cut to length, NuNeon lighting is available in Multi-color RGB and Red.
