FiberPlex Technologies, a leading manufacturer of multiplexers for transporting data over fiber optic networks, is preparing to launch its new TD-6010 adapter at InfoComm 2014. The TD-6010 adapter will be able to take a variety of SFP/SFP+ modules for a wide array of format conversion scenarios – even those that haven’t been invented yet, according to the company’s president, Buddy Oliver.

LMG announced a redesigned LMG Media Toolkit app with new features and optimized functionality. The free LMG Media Toolkit app puts LMG gear, news, and videos at the user’s fingertips, offering a range of information and videos. The app also features a redesigned widescreen calculator for computing blend areas for widescreen projection, as well as an LED Calculator for totaling the dimensions, weight, and power requirements for LMG’s indoor and outdoor LED tile products. 

Philips Vari-Lite, which recently debuted its VL4000 Spot Luminaire along with a higher-output version dubbed the VL4000GT, has opted to boost the original VL4000 Spot’s 25K lumens of output to more than 33K lumens. As a result, instead of marketing two versions of the fixture, Philips Vari-Lite is marketing just one product — the enhanced-output version of the VL4000 Spot.

The Q-Wash 419Z LED is a high-output RGBW wash moving head with a zoom range of 7-25 degrees. The fixture features 19 – 15watt LEDs broken down into 3 separate zones of LED control. The Q-Wash 419Z LED offers five different DMX profile options: 8, 10, 21 (two) or 24 DMX-channel modes. It features multi-voltage operation and up to 5 units can be linked at 120V, or up to 9 units at 230V. The unit also includes both 3- and 5-pin XLR connectors.

PixelFLEX’s FLEXLite LED tile, available in models designed for indoor and outdoor use, feature frames made with die cast aluminum, adding strength while keeping weight to a svelte 28 pounds. The indoor version comes in pitches of 3.0, 5.2, 6.9 and 7.8 mm; the outdoor version has  6.25, 8.9 and 12.0 mm pixel pitches. A high refresh rate makes the panels suited to televised and filmed events, and at 5,000 nits, the outdoor product can compete with sunlight.

ArKaos PRO MediaMaster 4.0 media server software has been updated with a plethora of new features including new aspect ratio and cropping tools, new Hue, Saturation and Lightness tools, layer-based volume control and a redesigned interface.

Laserworld’s new BeamNET Series includes the BeamNET 10, a 10-in-one laser light with a bar of 10 individually controlled diodes available in blue, green and red, and the BeamNET Single, with two options for a single-beam unit – either the blue (static beam) BeamNET 2B (pictured here) or RGB diode. All BeamNET systems can be triggered through DMX/Art-Net and can be integrated to an existing light show with common light desks.
