SHELTON, CT – Lex Products Corporation expands its EverGrip product line with the EverGrip 7-pin molded Socapex compatible motor control cable extensions. EverGrip cable assemblies feature a proprietary two-part molding process that encapsulates the interiors of the male and female connectors to prevent spinning and eliminate non-mating or mismatched connections. This construction also encases conductors to avoid short circuits and prevents pins and contacts from pushing back into housing, which helps to extend cable life. The EverGrip process bonds the cable to the connector to provide strain relief and maintain secure connections.

AUCKLAND, NZ – LightFactory controls software version 2.10 is now available with with new features to make programming shows faster and more streamlined.  This release is a free upgrade, available for download now, for existing version 2 users.

LOS ANGELES – Scenex Lighting, a division of GLP,  now offers LED tape with black backing, as an alternative to the more common white backing. The black LED is made for staging applications, set pieces and other instances where the LED tape needs to be kept as hidden as possible. It now provides an IP67 rating for greater environmental tolerance.

LONDON – coolux will release its Widget Designer software version 4.0 at this year’s PLASA exhibition in London. The new software builds upon past versions, with features including an integrated web server, script auto-completion, improved interface with task bar and icons to increase usability and more. It will coincide with the release of Pandoras Box software version 5.3.

SUNRISE, FL – Ilumipanel 40 IP is an architectural LED wash light designed for small spaces to uplight walls, trees or statues.  It is equipped with 40 3-watt RGB LEDs and 30-degree lenses with impact-resistant glass lens cover and a dry-seal GORE valve. Other features include built-in automated programs and customizable color temperature presets. The fixture’s dimensions are 3.5 x 14.6 x 12 inches / 82 x 371 x 306 mm and it weighs 18.25 lbs / 8.28 kg.

VICTORIA, Australia – LSC Lighting Systems’ LX300 console is the first model in the Clarity LX console range.The fully integrated console is based on the Clarity software that was launched in 2009. Among the features are fixture cloning, built-in pixel mapping, 10 touch screens, and the ability to add audio files. The LX600 and LX900 will be released in the coming months.

SULLY, IA—Prism Projection launches the third generation of their Studio LED fixture. The RevEAL Studio.3 Fresnel works like a traditional Fresnel with standard barn doors to shape the beam, produces more lumens (9,700 lumens of light), and has a wider zoom range. Building on previous generations of the RevEAL Studio and responding to the feedback of lighting designers, Prism has expanded the feature set of the Studio.3 LED Fresnel to make it a true replacement for a comparable tungsten fixture.

SAN ANTONIO, TX – The Enlighten ONE lighting console, developed and manufactured in Texas, is being marketed as an affordable choice for stages and houses of worship. The white console, with a 23-inch touch screen monitor, comes with 4 universes with a total of 2048 channels of DMX. The unit has a 2.8 GHz Intel motherboard and processor and Solid State hard drive to ensure ensure fast boot up speed and increased reliability. The unit is ArtNet expandable. The board components include 8 sliders, 1 grand master, 1 manual crossfader, 11 jog wheels, 8 bump buttons and 32 preset or assignable access buttons.

LOS ANGELES —Production Resource Group, L.L.C. (PRG) is now shipping the new TruColor HS lighting system for film and television production. The company says the volume of light produced is nearly twice as much output as a 2K soft source with no significant heat, no flicker and no noise. At the heart of TruColor HS fixtures are custom-formulated ChromaLit remote phosphor panels, offering color rendering with a wide range of color temperatures. The TruColor HS can output up to 100 fc at 10 feet, providing 25,000 lumens while consuming less than 450 watts.

LOS ANGELES – American DJ introduces two battery-powered LED RGB color-mixing fixtures, the Mega Go Bar50 and Mega Go Par64, that offer lighting users freedom from cords and plugs. With a built-in rechargeable lithium battery, the Mega Go Bar50 and Mega Go Par64 will hold their charge and work at full force for eight hours. The fixtures are equipped with 10mm LEDs, rated at 50,000 hours.

The Mega-Lite N-E Color FX9 is an LED strip fixture with matrix capabilities. Its nine 3-watt Tri Color LEDs offer smooth color mixing, while its DMX feature allows multiple units to daisy chain.
