The new Brickhouse Rope Lock from Thern Stage Equipment is designed to minimize wear to both rope and rope lock for long lasting performance. The lock uses a new holding mechanism that bends the rope between rollers, instead of crimping the rope between jaws. This method eliminates heavy stress points that wear out the rope and the working components of the rope lock. By bending the rope, rather than crimping it, the rope and rope lock remains in better working condition for a longer period of time.

Chauvet’s MVP Series of LED video wall panels includes the MVP 12, MVP 18 and MVP 37.5. Every panel in the MVP Series is easily interlocked to allow for creative, mixed-resolution displays. Each also features lightweight, tri-color SMD LED at varying levels of pixel pitch/resolution and transparency.

Chauvet’s Q-Wash 260-LED LED moving head is designed to be fast and compact, with 37 high-power RGB LEDs and a narrow 6° beam angle that promises to punch through almost any environment. It can be used as a wash light or mid-air effect fixture. It offers electronic dimming and strobe with no moving parts, and users can program and store a scene into the 255-step onboard memory to run a show without an external DMX controller. User-selectable pan and tilt ranges help keep light where it’s needed, and built-in effect macros and move-in-black features help minimize programming time. The fixture offers sound-activated functionality and user-selectable basic or advanced operating modes.

PR Lighting’s PR-8800 and PR-8802, with an outdoor IP67 rating, can be used for exterior color-changing washes with the added possibility of wireless DMX control. Both also feature RGB color mixing with automatic environmental brightness adjustment.

TV One’s 1T-MX-4355 is a 5×5 VGA Matrix Switcher with Audio that is designed to allow distribution of five VGA sources (or YPbPr, CV & SV with appropriate cable adapters) to five devices independently or all at the same time, while also providing full support for stereo audio I/O.

Juice Goose’s JuiceBox is designed to serve as a solution for those looking for more power distribution options, particularly those who don’t have racked equipment. Since a single outlet on an extension cord isn’t usually enough, Juice Goose is introducing its new JuiceBox 6, a power distribution box that can be set on the floor far away from a wall outlet, in the middle of a stage or anywhere else where AC power is needed. The company notes that it’s like “having a rack mounted power strip without the rack.”

Holo-Walls’ range of interactive Liquid Fusion floor tiles and table systems has expanded with the “Black and White” series Liquid Fusion floor system. They feature a black-colored liquid in a white base tile for a new twist on black and white checkered flooring.

Vaddio announced enhanced features to the HD-20 PTZ camera, including additional resolutions, improved communication speed and an additional color space option for increased compatibility with third-party video equipment.

TV One’s new MX-5288 is an 8×8 DVI Matrix Switcher that allows distribution of eight DVI-D (w/o HDCP) sources to eight devices independently or all at the same time. With the MX-5288, all video paths are buffered to prevent cross talk and 480p through 1080p HDTV signals, plus VGA (640×480) through WUXGA (1900×1200) signals are accepted as valid inputs and outputs.

Wybron’s Cygnus Studio Series, which builds on the company’s Cygnus Wash series fixtures, with all-white studio wash lights featuring variable color temperatures from 2800K-6000K. Well-suited to film, video, and venues where streaming video is used, the series offers users flicker-free white illumination from daylight to lamplight.

PR Lighting expands its range of LED PAR spots with the XPar 390 (brighter than the earlier XPar 348) and XPar 390-W, which adds a broader beam width and improved white light.

Creative Stage Lighting’s Entertainment Industry Tape (EIT) has been updated with improved adhesion properties designed to stick better and remove clean. The tape has also been designed to tear by hand more easily, with a matte finish to reduce reflected light. EIT Gaffer Tape is available in more than 10 colors, including fluorescents.
