CHATSWORTH, CA – Gefen announced the release of its new extender for professional computer systems using dual link DVI graphics. The DVI DL CAT-6 Extender offers a plug and play method of signal extension that guarantees a lossless video transmission with zero signal dropouts.

The next generation DVI DL CAT-6 Extender delivers uncompressed high resolution video to any remote display up to 200 feet (60m) in distance over two industry-standard CAT-6 cables. This is a substantial advantage over previous solutions, which required an add-on booster using more expensive cabling to handle distances beyond five meters.

DURHAM, NC – Cree, Inc. has introduced two new LEDs optimized for high resolution indoor and outdoor video screens with water resistant and higher contrast high-brightness LEDs. The contrast offered by these Cree LEDs extends the benefits of typical, black surface-mount LEDs that are used for high-definition, high-resolution LED screens and displays.

TAIPEI, TAWAN – FZLED announced today the releases their new line of 22-Watt PAR38 LED Spotlights that have lifetime expectancy of 35,000 hours. Fitting standard E26/E27 sockets, these LED spotlights provide 1400 luminous flux and give consumers the choice between a clear or frosted lens. Furthermore, users can choose for their bulbs to come with or without FZLED's built-in, dimming feature, allowing the spotlights to function at 12%, 25%, 50%, or 100% of light intensity. The desired level of brightness is easily selected by pressing the on/off power switch multiple times. Conforming to FZLED's high quality standards, these dimming LED spotlights give users an energy-saving, high-brightness, environmentally-friendly lighting solution.

Martin Professional offers two new DMX splitters for proper data transmission and protection of DMX controllers and devices. The DMX 5.3 Splitter and RDM 5.5 Splitter are useful in maintaining proper data over long runs or several runs of DMX signal with the RDM 5.5 Splitter also capable of handling RDM data.

Litepanels' H2 Hi-Output LED fixtures are capable of throwing illumination over a 20 to 25 foot (6.1 – 7.6 M) distance. The fixture is also 5600°K color-balanced, with an array of 72 one-Watt daylight LEDs focused to a 10° angle. The 100W H2 fixtures provide light equivalent to a 1000W legacy lighting fixture with just 10% of the energy, generating much less heat as well.

The P3-200 System Controller, a recent addition to Martin Professional's P3 System Controller family for LED screens, combines features from Martin's P3-100 video signal controller with SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI input capability for optimized use in TV/broadcast environments.

LSC announced the release of the QX1 USB-DMX Decoder designed specifically for use with its Clarity lighting and media control software. The QX1 falls into the same family as its bigger brothers the QX2 and QX4 and is aimed at smaller shows or venues where only a single universe of DMX512 is required or where cost is the major consideration.

SnowMasters Special Effects (a.k.a. Global Special Effects, Inc.) now offers a suitcase-sized alternative, Flogos-Lite Portable Series, weighing just 70 lbs. and measuring 13 inches tall in transport configuration.
