‘If/Then’ Tours with PixelFLEX FLEXCurtain Instead of Mirrors

NEW YORK – When the Broadway production, If/Then, began its successful run on Broadway in March 2014, a key staging focal point was the large mirror element tilting above the stage. To provide an equally distinctive focal point that would meet the touring production’s logistical needs, projection designers Peter Nigrini and Dan Scully were asked to reimagine the original production with a new projection and LED video component. Working with event technology provider WorldStage, Nigrini and Scully identified and implemented a unique LED video design comprised of 22 FLEXCurtain HD LED screens from PixelFLEX.

PRATT, KS — The First Southern Baptist Church in Pratt, Kansas, had the kind of problems that most churches wish they had: they were growing fast and had reached the point where they needed additional services each weekend to accommodate the nearly 800 people in the congregation. Its physical plant could not keep up. Enter Builders for Christ, a non-profit that gathers volunteers to construct church buildings for needy congregations at no cost. Last year, the organization constructed a new building for the First Southern Baptist Church, one that far better accommodates their growing flock.

Large Format Projections on Canada’s Parliament Hill to Return This Summer

KITCHENER, Ontario – The “Northern Lights” will be visible on Canada’s Parliament buildings again this summer thanks to a striking new projection mapping show delivered by 17 Christie 3DLP projectors with content provided by id3. The half hour “Northern Lights” show celebrates Canadian history, achievements, the majesty of its vast landscape and the diversity of its people. The 2016 show runs from July 9 to September 10.

The 256-square foot MicroTiles wall, installed by Data Display Audio Visual, a division of ON Event Services, captured the evening’s festivities and served as the visual backdrop for photos, graphics and video to the live New York audience and millions of television viewers during the broadcast.
