NEW YORK – When the Broadway production, If/Then, began its successful run on Broadway in March 2014, a key staging focal point was the large mirror element tilting above the stage. To provide an equally distinctive focal point that would meet the touring production’s logistical needs, projection designers Peter Nigrini and Dan Scully were asked to reimagine the original production with a new projection and LED video component. Working with event technology provider WorldStage, Nigrini and Scully identified and implemented a unique LED video design comprised of 22 FLEXCurtain HD LED screens from PixelFLEX.

PRATT, KS — The First Southern Baptist Church in Pratt, Kansas, had the kind of problems that most churches wish they had: they were growing fast and had reached the point where they needed additional services each weekend to accommodate the nearly 800 people in the congregation. Its physical plant could not keep up. Enter Builders for Christ, a non-profit that gathers volunteers to construct church buildings for needy congregations at no cost. Last year, the organization constructed a new building for the First Southern Baptist Church, one that far better accommodates their growing flock.

AMSTERDAM – The 17,000-capacity Ziggo Dome welcomed Dutch singer Marco Borsato for his Symphonica in Rosso concert series. d3 has been the media server of choice for Borsato’s lighting and video team for a number of years.  For the latest Symphonica in Rosso concerts the team deployed four d3 4x4pros with close to 3TB of content.

KITCHENER, Ontario – The “Northern Lights” will be visible on Canada’s Parliament buildings again this summer thanks to a striking new projection mapping show delivered by 17 Christie 3DLP projectors with content provided by id3. The half hour “Northern Lights” show celebrates Canadian history, achievements, the majesty of its vast landscape and the diversity of its people. The 2016 show runs from July 9 to September 10.

MIAMI – Abbas Ritscher from The Design Oasis relied on Chauver Professional MVP LED video panels for Jam Cruise 14, which featured performances by Dr. John & The Nite Trippers, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Galactic and more than two other bands on board. The video wall measured 10’ by 20’ and was divided into three sections.

NEW YORK – WorldStage provided system integration and installation for a new high-resolution LED screen as part of a major renovation to the public spaces at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s home at Columbus Circle.  The display was unveiled to Jazz staff and patrons at a December 17, 2015 event MC’d by Bette Midler.

DUBAI – Using d3 Technologies’ 4x4pro media servers and a BlackTrax real-time motion tracking system, Protec provided dynamic projection on a moving sphere for the opening ceremony for the World Air Games 2015 held at Sky Dive Dubai.

SIOUX FALLS SD – Badlands Pawn, Gold & Jewelry is a unique experience that opened its doors on Thanksgiving Day (26 November) 2015. Pawn shop, gold foundry, gun range, rock radio station, TV station and a tattoo shop by day, the 70,000 square-foot ‘entertainment fortress’ transforms weekly into a kicking rock venue at night. Las Vegas lighting designer, Drew Giancarli, designed the looks.

NEW YORK – CNN Heroes, a ceremony and awards program now in its ninth year, was held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. The 256-square foot MicroTiles wall, installed by Data Display Audio Visual, a division of ON Event Services, captured the evening’s festivities and served as the visual backdrop for photos, graphics and video to the live New York audience and millions of television viewers during the broadcast.

Avolites is featuring a “supercharged” range of its Ai R Series media servers on stand 8-K330 at ISE Amsterdam this week at the RAI Exhibition and Conference Centre in Amsterdam.

LONDON – A new TV ad for the Android and iOS-compatible Huawei Watch features projection mapped visuals within a theatre space powered by Avolites Ai S4 servers. UK-based Rhodri Shaw, now director of Transition Video Ltd, created the 3D visuals and projection mapping for Boomerang Television.

Hitachi’s DK-H200 multi-format, compact, HDTV box camera features feature native, full frame rate 1080p acquisition in a form factor well suited for point-of-view and remote observation applications.
