Projection Mapping Turns Ottawa’s Parliament Hill into Virtual Storybook

OTTAWA, Canada — A large-format projection planned to run from July 10-Sept. 7, 2013 will mark the fourth consecutive year that Christie 3-chip DLP projectors will be used for a sound and light show that tells the story of Canada’s history by lighting up Parliament Hill. The show, Mosaika – Canada Through the Eyes of Its People, has been seen by more than 250,000 visitors annually.

LONDON – XL Video supplied projection, LED screens, cameras and Catalyst control to the first UK arena tour by Plan B (Ben Drew). Creative Director and Lighting / Visuals designer Louis Oliver and Ben Drew developed the stage look together and came to XL Video with a plan. XL’s Project Manager Paul “Macca” McCauley demonstrated several options including the potential of effects like masking and mapping before they chose a hardware and software solution for the tour, which gave the stage an epic cinematic appearance.

SANTA MONICA, CA – Video equipment rental company Pete’s Big TVs of New Castle, DE, supplied equipment and crew for the Cartoon Network’s Hall of Game Awards 2013 in Santa Monica, CA. Designed for fans to honor their favorite sports celebrities and sports moments of the year, the event design called for a “high energy, off-the-wall, multi-platform experience.” Pete’s Big TVs worked with Dempsey Productions, LD Tom Kenny and set designer Anton Goss to fulfill the experiential requisite, using digiLED high resolution video panels for the visual environment.
