The Winners of the 4th International Drone Show Competition Announced

 SPH Engineering proudly announced the results of the 4th International Drone Show Competition, showcasing an impressive array of talent and creativity from participants across 24 countries with 105 applications in 8 diverse categories — the competition demonstrates the growth and innovation in the drone show industry. The results were unveiled in a presentation featuring a collaborative drone show with Sky Elements Drones, that illuminated Las Vegas sky with 400 drones, letting the whole city know about 22 outstanding winners.

A Spectacular Worthy of a Las Vegas Opening Ceremony

The FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN SILVER LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX Opening Ceremony took place with a star-studded event on Wednesday, Nov. 15. Created and executive produced by Brian Burke Creative, along with stage architects STUFISH Entertainment Architects and lighting designer Tom Sutherland of DX7, the opening ceremony was the first of its kind for Formula 1. In the grand tradition of Las Vegas spectacles, the opening ceremony kicked off Grand Prix™ weekend with an enormous production. Along with the 20 participating F1 drivers, the show included Andra Day, Bishop Briggs, J Balvin, Journey, Keith Urban, Steve Aoki, Thirty Seconds to Mars, will.i.am, and Kylie Minogue.

A few shorts from the 38th Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

The 38th annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place on Friday Nov. 3 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. This year’s class of inductees were Performers Kate Bush, Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott, George Michael, Willie Nelson, Rage Against the Machine, and The Spinners. Musical Influence inductees were DJ Kool Herc, and Link Wray; and the Musical Excellence Inductees were Chaka Khan, Al Kooper, and Bernie Taupin. A Look at the Designs of ‘Wicked’ as it Celebrates 20 Years on Broadway

‘Wicked’ is celebrating its 20th anniversary today, having opened at the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway October 30, 2003. Directed by Joe Mantello, the show’s incredible design work and production elements have brought Oz to life for 7,718 performances on Broadway. Eugene Lee’s scenery; Susan Hilferty’s costumes; Kenneth Posner’s lighting; and Elaine J. McCarthy’s projections, are as spellbinding today as they were when the Emerald curtain rose two decades ago. The Engineering and Flexibility of NYC’s new PAC

New York City’s new Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC) has been praised for its design since it opened this fall. Lower Manhattan’s dynamic new 129,000 sq.ft. home for the arts has the flexibility to rearrange its three theater spaces such that they can transform into 10 different proportions that collectively reconfigure into more than 60 stage-audience arrangements with capacities ranging from 90 to 950 seats.

LUMA 2023 Transforms Binghamton

LUMA, founded in 2015 by a street photographer, a film editor and an event planner, expected a crowd of 3,000. Then 30,000 showed up. Every year the crowds have grown as the LUMA festival transforms the New York State city of Binghamton’s buildings into projection mapped art installations.  This giant outdoor vibrant and dynamic art gallery includes not only projection mapping but also light installations, and immersive live performance. The 2023 event once more amazed and engaged visitors.
