I love you.” This was how Ozzy Osbourne ended the Back To The Beginning concert as original members of Black Sabbath played “Crazy Train” for the final time. The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, with Black Sabbath (Osbourne, Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi and Bill Ward) took the stage Birmingham, England’s Villa Park for his last live performance.

Remembering John Conklin, Designer

John Conklin was admired around the world for his career as a highly acclaimed stage designer. His style was conceptual rather than literal, and through his open approach to design possibilities Conklin had an enormous influence. He was one of the principal figures in American stage design, both for opera and for theater, and his set and costume designs were seen in opera houses, theaters, and ballet companies across the world. In 2011 Conklin was an NEA Opera Honoree. Here is the video celebrating him made for that honor.

Historic Bonnaroo Performance Before Cancellation

Among the news stories generated by the cancellation of three out of the four days of the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival this past weekend, one story may have been missed. Before the weather turned the 700-acre Manchester, TN farm into a muddy mess, the Thursday night line-up was able to hit the stage. The headliner for the night was Luke Combs, making Bonnaroo history as the first-ever country headliner. His two-hour set included welcoming guests, Miranda Lambert, Jon Bellion and Marcus King.

Scenic Designer Scott Pask recreated the CBS newsroom and Edward R. Murrow’s set for Broadway’s ‘Good Night, and Good Luck’. Pask’s TONY-nominated set, fabricated by PRG Scenic Technologies, helps bring the 1950s McCarthy-era drama to life. Pask discusses why architectural accuracy was so important for a play that’s about “speaking truth to power.”
