Doyle Martin has today announced his resignation as Chief Operations Officer of TLS Productions, Inc. in Ann Arbor, Mich., effective Nov. 12, 2021.

In a letter addressed to colleagues, clients, friends and family on LinkedIn, Martin explained his decision to leave the company: “I began full-time, seasonal employment with TLS Productions, Inc. back in 2006 as a project manager for auto shows. In my time with the company, we’ve gone through an employee buy-out; I was able to start a design department (now defunct thanks to Covid-19) and serve as the VP of Show Services. Then, I became the Chief Operations Officer. All of this culminated in early 2019 when the Hibino Company of Japan acquired TLS. Today I announce that my last day with the company will be Nov. 12, 2021.”

He continues, “I have decided that with the post-pandemic changes in the events and exhibition business, the evolution and personal growth I’ve experienced through these dark times, and the changing composition and goals of TLS’ management group, now is the time for me to move on. I wish nothing but the best for TLS Productions, Inc. and all its employees. I will look back with nothing but fond memories of my time as part of this growing, dynamic company.”

This announcement comes on the heels of CEO Brad Hayes’ retirement from TLS Productions on Oct. 16, posted on PLSN here: https://plsn.com/featured/featured-slider/ceo-brad-hayes-announces-retirement/

Explaining his announcement on social media, Martin told PLSN, “I’m very much looking forward to getting back into project management and design rather than spending all my time on the business of running the business.”
