PLSN has learned of the sudden passing of Shane Michael Crowl, the Production Director for ODESZA, on March 4, 2025.
Motion Music LLC, a live event production company posted the following statement about Crowl’s passing:
Our partner and brother, Shane Michael Crowl, passed away suddenly on March 4, 2025, leaving a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and colleagues.
A revered figure in live music production, Shane worked with artists such as Billy Joel, Aerosmith, Mariah Carey, Tears for Fears, ASAP Rocky, Tiesto, and Ciara. Since 2017, he served as Production Director for ODESZA, where his rare ability to merge creativity with precision made the impossible possible.
Shane was a leader, mentor, and rock to those who worked alongside him. Known for his integrity, loyalty, and accountability, he balanced creative ambition with technical mastery, ensuring every production exceeded expectations. Held in the highest regard by his peers and crew, his impact on the industry will be felt for years to come.
Shane’s presence, wisdom, and unwavering dedication will never be forgotten.
