Bandit Lites, the leader in concert lighting, is excited to share Kelly Feild has joined the team as the Director of Touring Personnel. Feild’s education and experience both make her exceptionally qualified in ensuring every aspect of a production’s crew runs seamlessly. With a role that extends beyond simply logistics, she’ll curate a team of professionals that will deliver the standard of excellence Bandit’s clients know to expect. In addition to her efforts as Director of Touring Personnel, Feild will also head expanding Bandit’s college outreach as well as interviewing and hiring additional touring personnel of all experience levels and backgrounds.

Feild’s background in live events began early, in high school. She then earned a BBA in Music Business from Belmont University. Following graduation, she worked at Belmont’s event services as their Coordinator of Scheduling before joining Bandit Lites as a lighting technician. She worked on multiple tours and eventually set out as a freelancer.

“I started at Bandit with a business degree and almost no technical experience,” Feild said. “Bandit taught me everything I needed to know to successfully tour as lighting tech. I know how to do the office part of my job, but I also understand what I am asking people to do when I schedule them on a tour,” Feild explains.

Bandit Lites’ Jake Tickle first sent Feild on her first road gig back in 2019 and in what has now become a full circle moment, Tickle has hired Feild in her new office role. “He has always been a mentor and champion of my career,” said Feild. “It feels great to be back and to have him as my boss again, both of us with very different titles and job duties than we had back then.”

“I’ve worked with Kelly since the beginning of her career in this industry,” said Tickle, now Bandit’s Vice President of Business and Innovation. “She thinks outside the box and brings the type of organization I was looking for in this position. Kelly checked all the boxes: she understands this industry and our work culture. We are a better company with her in this position.”

“Returning to Bandit in a role where I can use my technical experience and business skills together feels like the perfect alignment of coming home to a company I love and being able to advance my career in a new direction,” Feild said.

“Kelly is indeed the total package,” finished Bandit Lites Chair, Michael T. Strickland. “She has the education, the real-world business experience, and the road experience. Bandit could not have made a better hire. We are happy to welcome Kelly home!”
