Hydra Melody, an alternative rock band known for its mix of powerful guitar riffs, emotional lyrics, and dynamic stage presence, reunited for a highly anticipated concert on January 4. Formed in the early 2000s, the band gained a dedicated following with their unique blend of rock, indie, and progressive music. Their songs often explore themes of introspection, love, and personal struggle.
The reunion concert took place at Paper Tiger in San Antonio, TX. The venue’s stage was illuminated with vibrant colors due to the use of the Baby Color Q70, a compact and high-output color-changing fixture from MEGA-LITE. Fourteen units were strategically placed, providing a uniform wash of color that complemented the atmosphere.
For the opening act, singer-songwriter Daniel León benefited from the use of eight Deco Vintage Scoop Q32, part of MEGA-LITE’s iCandy series. This fixture, featuring a 32W RGBWW LED and a reflective gold finish, enhanced the depth of saturated colors, contributing to León’s performance and the principal act of Hydra Melody.
To add a strong but shiny look, the venue used four Light Truss, an IP65 structural pipe that combines functionality with an eye-catching aesthetic featuring a four color system using RGB and Warm White. In addition to this, 16 MEGA-LITE Axis 2r Beam completed the biggest rig in the venue’s history. MEGA-LITE thanked Erick Johnson for the pictures and the continuous support enhancing shows with the company’s gear.
