NIVA and ESA Announce Reopening Checklist for Live Entertainment

Share this Post:
As people in the U.S. continue to get vaccinated and cities and states begin to reopen, the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) and Event Safety Alliance (ESA), in partnership with Association of Performing Arts Professionals (APAP), Coalition of Performing Arts Centers, and National Independent Talent Organization (NITO) have joined together to research, create and present “Safe In Sound,” a free reopening checklist for the live entertainment industry. This toolkit was developed after consultation with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and based on the most up-to-date guidance and resources available at Guidance for COVID-19 | CDC. It serves as the framework for venues and promoters to reopen fully as safely as possible.

Mark your calendars! The Event Safety Summit is returning to the Rock Lititz campus this December 1-3, 2021.

This year’s Summit will be a hybrid event, with both in-person and online attendance options. Both programs will be similar in length and subject matter, with some variation based on platform restrictions (for example, substituting a presenter-led discussion for a hands-on workshop with the virtual option). Capacity for the in-person option will be limited and attendees will be subject to entry restrictions, which will be detailed at time of purchase. Regardless of which attendance option works best for you, ESA is committed to delivering a robust, informative, and engaging program.

To help us plan the event, please complete the brief survey at the link below. Responses will be accepted through June 15, 2021.
