Pro Production Sessions at NAMM: A Wealth of Industry Insights, at No Extra Charge

ANAHEIM, CA — The Pro Production sessions are returning to the Winter NAMM show for a third consecutive year. This series of casual conversations, set for Jan. 16-18, 2020 at the NAMM U Education Center within the Anaheim Hilton hotel, will once again serve as a gold mine of industry insights at no extra charge to NAMM attendees. Panelists are willing to freely share what they’ve learned as a way of giving back and mentoring the next generation of live entertainment professionals.

The speaker lineup includes Sightline Design Group’s Stan Crocker, Seth Robinson and Bobby Grey; Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman; Bandit Lites founder Michael T. Strickland; Baz Halpin, Tamlyn Wright, Cory FitzGerald and Alex Reardon of Silent House; and touring pros from Michael Bublé tour including Dean Roney, Craig Doubet, Craig Finley and Brian Levine.

Sitting at the heart of the industry’s crossroads, The 2020 NAMM Show hosts professional development sessions for emerging and established professionals from all sectors of music products, pro audio and entertainment technology. Held at the NAMM U Education Center inside the Anaheim Hilton. Among those education offerings are the The Pro Production Sessions, presented by FRONT of HOUSE, PLSN and Stage Directions magazines, which will bring the leading names in entertainment production together to delve into the forward-looking trajectory of production and entertainment technology during insightful conversations and panel presentations.

Speaking at the Pro Production sessions Jan. 16 to 18 will be some of the top production people in our industry, sharing their insights and offering the the opportunity to learn from some of the leading creative minds working with the top musical artists of the day. Not to be missed sessions include Sightline Design Group’s Stan Crocker, Seth Robinson and Bobby Grey presenting “For Musicians and Managers: How to Work With Designers,” offering an in-depth discussion of the relationship between the musician and designer, the questions and the considerations for finding the right collaboration; and “Everything Is for Broadcast,” a talk about the challenges of designing for social media, livestreams and how to capture live shows for broadcast without hurting the live experience.

Plus, two great talks sure to be full of expert advice, first with the highly acclaimed producer Kevin Lyman. His session is sure to again be standing room only as he offers an informative and forward-thinking look at the state of the industry and the future directions he sees for young music artists, youth culture, festivals and socially-conscience brand engagements. It will be an inspiring conversation and chance to get some visionary advice.

Among the panel sessions of The Pro Production Session at NAMM are “10 Years of Spectacular Creativity at Silent House,” where all four design partners of the illustrious Silent House production company —Baz Halpin, Tamlyn Wright, Cory FitzGerald and Alex Reardon—share an insightful look at their groundbreaking work. Then there are the On the Road with Pro Production Sessions including “On the Road With Michael Bublé”. This session offers an informative presentation looking at a tour from the production viewpoint—lighting, video, audio and production management. Without question, the success of the An Evening With Michael Bublé tour has created a lot of interest within the entertainment production industry, especially looking at bringing together the music, the artist and the overall production elements into a cohesive whole.
