DALLAS – After careful consideration, Vari-Lite and Strand, Signify (Euronext: LIGHT) entertainment lighting brands, have decided to not participate in USITT Stage Expo 2020 in Houston, Texas due to the health risks posed by the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Strand still plans to provide training classes on Strand NEO Consoles, but will not participate in the Expo portion of the event.

As well, Vari-Lite and Strand has further reviewed the new dates for Prolight + Sound 2020 in Frankfurt, Germany and has chosen not to participate at this time. “There remains further uncertainty as to the progress of Corona virus and have decided it best for the safety of our employees and customers to not commit to participate in a major international tradeshow in May,” explains Sameer Sodhi, Business Leader, Vari-Lite and Strand at Signify. “The health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers and partners is and remains our number one priority.”
Vari-Lite and Strand will continue to inform stakeholders about new innovations through other means which will be communicated in the coming weeks.
