WORLD – VRJAM and Winter Music Conference today announced the release of the massive WMC Live Music Program, featuring performances from over 50 artists presented live in VR over 24 hours on the 20th and 21st of May. As a part of the first-ever digital edition of the Winter Music Conference, a fascinating array of live music performances from some of the world’s hottest artists and labels will be streamed live to the web using next-generation VR technology provided by VRJAM.
Artists will perform live from studios locations in Barcelona, Berlin, New York, London and LA. Their performances will then be rendered inside virtual reality music venue 5th Dimension using the VRJAM immersive content platform. Fans watch the event in the 5th Dimension Twitch channel, or in VR using the VRJAM immersive content platform which enables them to watch the show in VR or on a PC desktop by installing the VRJAM app for free.
VRJAM’s virtual music venue and content platform, 5th Dimension, will be used as the official (virtual) venue for the WMCV Music Program. Artist’s live sets will be activated by VRJAM’s technical team to create a next-level live show that combines virtual reality, custom visuals, live-streamed video, live camera, lighting and special effects to create a digital live event unlike any other!
This event marks the launch of the latest version of VRJAM’s virtual reality app and music fans will be able to download the VRJAM app during the show and watch the artist’s performance using an Oculus Quest headset or a PC desktop app, creating an entirely new way for fans to experience live events online.
The headline events in the WMC program manifest as showcases from a handpicked selection of the world’s best music labels including Ultra Records, Perfect Havoc, Mr Afterparty, Riva Star’s Snatch! Imprint and Neverdogs’ red hot Bomboleo label.
The WMC Live Music Program also presents an array of performances from some of the hottest emerging artists on planet earth. The New Music Showcase is a new venture that WMC and VRJAM have launched to seek out the freshest electronic music talent across all genres. Performances included in the New Music Showcase are composed solely of original material or original remixes and one winning artist will be selected from the lineup to take home a best in class award including prizes by Izotope and VRJAM and promotional support from WMCV’s media partners.
