LAS VEGAS — And the 2011 winners of the Parnelli Awards for Lighting, Staging and Video are…yet to be determined, by YOU, the PLSN readers. The individuals and companies that YOU nominate and vote for will be honored during the annual Parnelli Awards ceremony, set for Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Peabody Orlando.
Nominations are now being accepted for all 2011 Parnelli Awards categories at www.parnelliawards.com/nominate.
Parnelli Awards categories including lighting designer, set/scenic designer, video director, tour manager and production manager of the year. There are also awards honoring companies involved in lighting, staging, set construction, video, rigging, pyro, trucking, freight forwarding.
But it all begins with a nomination from YOU. And if you haven’t already, be sure to vote for the top regional Hometown Hero nominees — the regional ballot will only be on the PLSN site at www.plsn.com/hometown until mid-August; winners from each of five U.S. regions and all of Canada will appear on the Parnelli ballot in September.
You can also nominate an entry for this year’s “IT” (Indispensable Technology) Award for the most indispensable lighting, projection, staging and sound technology introduced within the past year. Go to www.parnelliawards.com/it.
The Parnelli Awards nominations end in late August. Shortly thereafter, the final ballot with be prepared, the nominees will be announced, and the voting will begin, all on www.parnelliawards.com.
