LAS VEGAS — Nominations are pouring in for both the 2013 Parnelli Awards and Indispensable Technology (“IT”) Awards. The nomination forms for both awards categories will be open through late September. If you haven’t done so already, now’s the time to choose the people, companies and products that will appear on the final 2013 Parnelli ballot. That ballot will be posted online for voting throughout the month of October. Be sure to also reserve your spot (or table) at this year’s event, set for Nov. 23, 2013. It’s expected to be a sellout like last year, but tickets are still available.

This year’s Parnelli Awards, which return to the Mirage Resort in Las Vegas, will honor George Travis with the Lifetime Achievement Award, Eric Pearce with the Parnelli Visionary Award and Mark Engebretson with the Audio Innovator Award. All of the other Parnelli Awards categories are anyone’s guess right now — and it all starts right now with a nomination from readers like you.

There, you can nominate your choice for best lighting designer, set/scenic designer, video director, lighting company, staging company, set construction, video rental, coach company, rigging company, pyro company, trucking company, freight forwarding, tour manager, and production manager, among other awards categories.
Separately, PLSN readers have already voted for the finalists in the annual competition for Hometown Hero Lighting Company of the Year. Those winners, in five U.S. regions and all of Canada, will also appear on the Parnelli awards ballot in October.
