LAS VEGAS — PLSN readers have chosen the six regional winners of the 2015 Hometown Hero Award competition. These top vote getters from each of five U.S. regions plus all of Canada will be automatically entered on the Parnelli Awards ballot. PLSN readers will then get a chance to vote on which regional company will be awarded the coveted honor of Parnelli Hometown Hero Lighting Company of the Year.

Representatives from one of these six Hometown Hero regional winners will be stepping up to the podium at the 2015 Parnelli Awards on Oct. 24, 2015 to claim the 2015 Parnelli Hometown Hero Lighting Company of the Year Award. They will be joined by other honorees at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for the 2015 event, including Parnelli Lifetime Achievement award winner Chris Lamb, Parnelli Visionary Award Winner David Cunningham and Audio Innovator Pat Quilter.
Nearly two dozen other Parnelli Awards will be presented, honoring individuals (such as Lighting Designer, Board Operator, Set/Scenic Designer, Video Designer, Tour Manager and Production Manager of the Year), companies (including Lighting, Staging and Video Rental Company of the Year) and products (the Indispensable Technology “IT” Awards for Lighting, Video, Staging and Audio products).

The final Parnelli Awards ballot will go online in early September, and voting will continue through Sept. 30, 2015. Top vote getters will be tallied in early October, and winners will be announced during the annual Parnelli Awards ceremony and gala dinner itself, which starts Oct. 24, 2015 at 8 p.m., following the 7 p.m. cocktail reception.
