LAS VEGAS — The governing body of the Parnelli Awards announces that Atomic Design’s Rob Barber has joined its Board of Advisors. Atomic Design will also be providing scenic elements for the 2013 Parnelli Awards in November.

“Rob has help make Atomic Design into one of the most creative, respected scenic design companies in our industry,” said Terry Lowe, Parnelli executive director and publisher of PLSN and FRONT of HOUSE magazines. “His experience, energy, talent, and insight will add much to our Parnelli Board of Advisors. We look forward to his contributions and his good humor!”

“It’s an honor to join the Parnelli Board and work with such a talented group,” Barber said. “And I’m stoked to pay homage to the super heroes of our business.”

Barber has been general manager of Lititz, PA-based Atomic Design since 2010. Atomic has been serving the touring, television, concert, sports, worship, corporate events and experiential marketing communities for clients all over the world with modular solutions and theatrical soft goods.

Barber has extensive background in technology systems, leadership and senior-level management and is able to apply past experiences to the creative and problem solving processes of scenic design. He and his team are known for providing versatility and modularity in all things while striking the perfect balance of “hair on fire” creativity and intuitive engineering. Prior to Atomic, he was an IT Director for 25 years in the agricultural industry.

This year, the Parnelli Awards will be held at the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Nov. 23, 2013. For more information about the Parnellis, go to www.parnelliawards.com.
