CORAL GABLES, FL — Atomic Lighting provided an assortment of Coemar Infinity and ParLite LED lights to heat up the visuals for Univision’s 21st annual Premio Lo Nuestro a la Musica Latina awards show, broadcast live from the 8,000-seat BankUnited Center at the University of Miami.
Atomic Lighting’s VP, director of account management Brad Hafer, supplied the lights to lighting designer Carlos Colina and crew. “We supplied them with the array of Coemar lights needed to get the job done: 60 Infinity Wash XLs, 12 Infinity ACLs, and 24 ParLite LEDs,” Hafer recalled. “These were used for audience lighting as well as stage wash access effect.”
The Infinity Wash XL lights gave Colina access to a new color mix system able to achieve CMY and RGB colors (CMY-s), various lens options (a zoom kit of 6 to 36 degrees and PC pens for ACL type beam) and a beam shaper rotating and indexing at 360 degrees.
Touted as being comparable in brightness to a 1200-watt fixture, in a 250-watt Coemar Infinity ACLs also include a focusable black-light, moon flower and split color beam effects. They also offer variable beam size and variable beam control with rotating aerial effects.
No-fan Coemar ParLite LEDs, meanwhile, were used to tone the truss. The flicker-free, ETL-approved fixtures come with a standard 12-degree lens and electronic dimmer.
According to Hafer, the Infinitys and ParLite LEDs “worked great, as always. The team had no problems with any of them.”
