SUNRISE, FL — Chauvet Professional, based here, noted that Bandit Lites has acquired a number of Chauvet Nexus Aw 7×7 fixtures, pictured here. The 2800K matrix-style fixtures, which offer pixel mapping capabilities, sharp beams and the ability to be configured in large arrays, will not be lingering in the warehouse, however — they’ve already been specified by LD Chris Lisle in his Bandit-supplied design for Miranda Lambert’s 2014 Platinum Across America tour.

Founded over 45 years ago, Bandit Lites has been serving lighting professionals longer than any other company in the industry.  Never one to rest on its laurels, however, Bandit has consistently stayed in the forefront of new technology. This was evidenced recently when Bandit added the Nexus Aw 7×7 from Chauvet Professional to its inventory.

“As a touring rental company, we always look for opportunities to add products to our reserves that will be real game changers,” said Pete Heffernan, president of Bandit Lites.  “The Nexus 7×7 is that kind of fixture.  I was extremely impressed by the myriad of effects it produces to provide the audience with an entirely new level of visual experiences.”

An advanced warm white LED structural effect that can be controlled by DMX, Art-Net and Kling-Net, the Nexus Aw 7×7 projects sharp narrow beams of brilliant light to create warm washes, instant audience blinders and vivid pixel mapping effects. A smooth dimming curve with a 2800K color temperature helps give it the versatility to work in live events, broadcast, studio and touring applications.

“The Nexus Aw 7×7 is one of the most impactful and exciting products that we’ve ever developed,” said Albert Chauvet, president of Chauvet Professional. “With its pixel mapping capabilities, sharp beams and ability to be configured in massive arrays, it has the capacity to transform any lightshow. We invested a lot of hard work and sleepless nights in bringing the Nexus Aw 7×7 to market, so the fact that a company with the longstanding reputation and stature of Bandit Lites believes in this product means the world to us.”

Bandit Lites will be using the Nexus Aw 7×7 on the rig for Grammy Award winning country super star Miranda Lambert’s upcoming Platinum Across America tour, which will feature a lightshow designed by Chris Lisle of Chris Lisle Lighting Design (Nashville).

“We’re very proud of this association,” said Chauvet. “We have an excellent effect in a rig provided by a great company for a lightshow created by a gifted designer, so good things should happen.”
