KNOXVILLE, TN — Bandit Lites is supporting the needs of green-minded LDs with recent purchases of LED gear and other energy-efficient light sources for tours (and designers) including Keith Urban (Marc Brickman), Owl City (Paul Holst), Selena Gomez (Seth Jackson), Buffalo Springfield/Neil Young (Keith Wissmar) and Jackson Browne (Steve Comer).
Marc Brickman opted for the Vari*Lite VLX for the current Keith Urban tour, and lighting director Nate Alves is also enthused with the addition of the 189W Clay Paky Sharpy, also specified by Brickman, in the rig.
Paul Holst is using the Martin MAC 101 for Owl City, as well as several GRNLite products from Bandit.
Seth Jackson and lighting director Brian Jenkins have specified and are using the GLP Volkslicht LED fixture for the current Selena Gomez tour
Longtime Neil Young designer Keith Wissmar took out a Bandit GRN system for the Buffalo Springfield Reunion run in June that included ground-supported GRN PARs, GRN Washes and GRN Battens.
The Concert for Civility in Tucson, a fundraiser for those hurt and killed in the Jan. 8 mass shooting, featured Jackson Browne, Alice Cooper, David Crosby & Graham Nash, Sam Moore, Nils Lofgren, Keb’ Mo’, Jennifer Warnes, Jerry Riopelle, Dar Williams, Ozomatli, and Calexico. Bandit delivered an all GRN system with GRN PARs, GRN 8 Lights and GRN Moving Washes.
Bandit also recently purchased several I-Pix BB4s to complement the company’s inventory of BB7 LED wash fixtures. The company also doubled its inventory of GRNLite PARs, Moving Washes, Battens, Washes and 8 Light Units to meet demand this summer.
