BLOOMINGTON, IL – Clearwing Productions provided production support for Chicago’s free concert benefitting tornado victims.

BLOOMINGTON, IL – Chicago, one of the most successful and longest-lasting rock bands in history, held a free concert for the victims and first responders of a devastating storm of tornados that recently hit Central Illinois. The concert was Jan. 29 at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, IL.
On November 17, 2013, an EF4 tornado with winds up to 190mph ripped through the town of Washington, IL; destroying 400 homes and taking 6 lives. The concert served as a way to support those who were affected and to provide them with a sense of hope as they look to rebuild. The Red Cross was there taking donations, and they raised over $8000. Country Financial, a sponsor of the event, donated $25,000 to help with the relief effort.
Clearwing Productions, out of Milwaukee, WI, provided production support for the concert. For audio, Clearwing Productions donated the use of L-Acoustics KUDO, KARA, and SB28; for lighting, Clay Paky Sharpy Washes, Color Kinetics ColorBlaze, Vari*Light VL880s, and ETC Source Four Lekos ERS.
“We may be a state away, but in the grand scheme of things, what happened in Illinois happened to our neighbors,” says Gregg Brunclik, CEO of Clearwing Productions. “When a band like Chicago offers such a sincere outpouring of support to the citizens of their home state, how can we not be inspired to help?”
