OAKLAND, CA — A 20-year-old college student partying with friends at Spookfest 2014, a Halloween-themed EDM concert staged Oct. 31 at the Oracle Arena here by San Francisco-based KITS-FM/Live 105, got separated and was found dead after falling more than 20 feet from a restricted area behind the main stage.
Reports suggested that Zachary Bradley, a pre-med student at the University of California at Berkeley, may have been intoxicated at the time. The Phoenix native was last seen by his friends several hours before he was discovered by event security personnel shortly before midnight as the performances were ending.
Live 105’s Spookfest, an 18+ event, featured a lineup of EDM artists including Alesso, Chromeo, Gareth Emery, Duke Dumont, Henry Fong, Slaptop, Aaron Axelsen and St. John. Police are still investigating the accident.
