LAS VEGAS – A news item on a fatal truck crash posted on PLSN.com on Dec. 4, which was also printed in the Dec. 2017 issue of PLSN magazine, relayed details of the incident posted by local news sources that identified the driver as a member of IATSE. PLSN has since learned from numerous sources that the driver, Daniel Berk, who was charged in the incident and listed in critical condition, was NOT an IATSE member.
Along with the correction to the original online news posting, we have updated the cover and page 7 of our Dec. 2017 digital edition to fix the error. Although we are unable to correct the printed edition being mailed out to the readership, we will be setting the record straight in the next printed edition of PLSN, and we are including this correction and retraction in our online news posting and PLSN’s Dec. 11 newsletter in an effort to alert our readership to the error.
PLSN’s editorial staff would also like to issue an apology to IATSE regarding this matter. We deeply regret the error.
