Crew Buses for Styx/Foreigner Tour Damaged by Fire, No One Hurt

Share this Post:

PHILADELPHIA – An unoccupied bus that had been used for crew members on the Styx/Foreigner tour caught fire July 2, and as that fire spread, it was hot enough to ignite another of the tour’s unoccupied crew buses parked nearby. Firefighters arrived on the scene and doused the flames within minutes. No one was injured.

The buses had been reportedly parked and unoccupied during a three-day break in the bands’ touring schedule. Because most of the crew took their belongings with them, that kept gear losses to a minimum as well. The incident was not expected to disrupt the bands’ tour schedule; they are next slated to perform July 3 at the Susquehanna Bank Center in nearby Camden, NJ.
