HUNTSVILLE, AL – The Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, held annually since 1966, may be its best-known fundraiser, bringing in more than $60 million annually. But the Muscular Dystrophy Association stages other events for people who like to bowl, golf, walk – and others who don't mind getting handcuffed and hauled off to "jail" for a good cause. David Milly, president of Theatrical Lighting Systems, Inc. (TLS), will be among Huntsville, Ala.-based business owners locked up and phoning supporters for a bailout at the EarlyWorks Children's History Museum on Sept. 22. The funds will go to MDA, which helps with treatment, wheelchair/leg brace repairs and trips to week-long summer camps.
Along with instructions on how to donate, Milly's MDA-hosted web page https://www.joinmda.org/2010easthsvlockup/dmilly/SID/9246514/ details his participation and how his wife, Janet, has been helped by MDA since she was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at age 15.
