NORTH BERGEN, NJ – In less than 10 hours, Drake Kings installed more than 7,700 yards (equaling 4.3 miles) of event carpet and Astro Turf for the recent Bike Expo New York. They also set up 96 trade show booths while lining the perimeter of the expo with 500 feet of event drape. It took two months of planning to pull off the event set-up.

NORTH BERGEN, NJ – Late into the night of May 1 and through the early morning of May 2, Drape Kings Carpet Division installed more than 7,700 yards of Black & Grey Event Carpet & Astro Turf for the 2012 Bike Expo New York at Basketball City in Lower Manhattan. This epic set-up took two months of planning, culminating in a crew of 25 men, 35 rolls of carpet, and took less than 10 hours to turn around. In addition to the enormous expanse of carpet required, the Dukes and Knights of Drape Kings set up 96 trade show booths with Black Banjo Drape while also lining the perimeter of the expo with almost 500 feet of Black Velour Event Drape.

The massive setup for the 2012 Bike New York Expo showcased the many options in urban cycling to the New York Metro population. The varied layout, using Drape Kings’ Black and Grey Event Carpet and Astro Turf, was designed to recreate the diverse streets of New York. The expo, featuring cycling vendors, live performances as well as giveaways, opened at noon on May 3 and ran through the evening on May 5.
