LOS ANGELES – Elation Professional's Design Spot 1200C and Design Beam 1200C DMX moving heads have earned cETLus approval for the U.S. and Canada. Compliant with UL standards, that approval means they can be specified in permanent installations and other applications where electrical approval is required. "We are extremely pleased that our Design 1200C Series has been awarded the cETLus seal of approval, which is granted only to products that pass the strictest safety and quality inspections," said Eric Loader, director of sales for Elation Professional.
Loader noted that cETLus approval means that the Design 1200C Series, released in 2009, will find its way into more fixed installations and production companies.

Design Spot 1200C:
A hybrid spot/wash fixture with a 1200-watt Philips MSR1200 Gold lamp, the Design Spot 1200C has dimensions comparable to a typical 700-watt fixture (18.5 by 18.2 by 20.3 inches) but produces 71% more light. It comes with a variable frost filter, a variable zoom of 16° to 41°, and a built-in Elation EWDMX wireless DMX receiver. The unit offers CMY color mixing; variable CTO; 8 static/replaceable dichroic colors including CTB and UV; a gobo wheel with 12 rotating/indexing gobos; a separate animation effects wheel; two rotating/indexing prism effects; a motorized iris; a linear dimmer (0-100%); and motorized focus. It weighs 78.5 lbs. and the MSRP is $6,999.99.
Design Beam 1200C:

It comes with eight static/replaceable dichroic filters including CTB and UV and two gobo wheels. Gobo Wheel One contains six rotating, indexing replaceable gobos, and Gobo Wheel Two contains seven static replaceable gobos. The Design Beam 1200C measures 18.5 by 18.2 by 20.3 inches, weighs 78.5 lbs. and is prices at $6,799.99 MSRP.
