WESTLAKE, TX — Building on last July’s Protocols Plugfest, members of ESTA’s Control Protocols Working Group have set their next Protocols Plugfest for Jan. 22-24 at the Dallas/Ft. Worth Marriott Solana hotel in Westlake, Texas. The event, part of the ESTA Technical Standards Program’s January conference, invites attendees to bring new control products to test and debug. With members of Control Protocols Working Group attending, it can also authoritatively answer protocol implementation questions.
The Plugfest serves as an informal protocols lab for manufacturers' engineers to see if their products will co-exist and communicate with the products of other manufacturers, and if required — find out on the spot what is wrong, fix it, and try again — in hopes of minimizing the number of glitches customers will have when using the gear.
