LAS VEGAS – The ESTA Foundation will not be able to hold their raffle fundraiser for Behind the Scenes at this year's LDI in Las Vegas, which has been one of the largest annual fundraisers for the charity. Nevada state officials denied the foundation's request. To make up for the loss of income, Behind the Scenes is asking LDI attendees to bring their raffle dollars to the boutique in booth #744 and show support for their colleagues in need by picking up some special Behind the Scenes gift items.
The items available for purchase will include the 2010 Holiday Cards, sold in packs of 10 and featuring artwork by some of the industry's top designers, including David Gallo, Christine Jones, Jeremy Railton, and Andrew Hefter.
In addition, a new line of unique general purpose note cards will be offered featuring artwork by Hefter and Jones that well-suited as opening night cards or throughout the year.
Hefter's designs include four photographs shot on the set of An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin onstage at Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre, consisting of 29 unique ghostlights. Christine Jones' design features an image of a ghostlight in the heart of Times Square. These will each be sold in packs of 12.
The boutique will also offer new items featuring Andrew Hefters' ghostlight artwork, such as T-shirts and a new illuminated lapel pin; gobo ghostlight earrings; new polos and tanks, with an embroidered Behind the Scenes ghostlight; and Altman Rental's working ghostlight will also be available for order.
All proceeds benefit The ESTA Foundation's Behind the Scenes program, which provides financial assistance to entertainment technology professionals who are seriously ill or injured.
