MIDDLETON, WI – ETC's LDI Student Sponsorship program is officially underway for 2011. The company is inviting graduate students and senior undergrads studying lighting design, theater technology or a related field to try for one of the open spots to attend the 2011 LDI tradeshow, Oct. 28-30th, in Orlando, FL. ETC added that this year, candidates can fill out an online application electronically (it's at www.etcconnect.com/LDI-2011) or print it out and mail it in to ETC. The deadline to apply is May 6, 2011.
Along with the chance to gain experience, see the inner-workings of the lighting industry and do some networking, ETC covers the costs of round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, meals, LDI conference passes, and provides free swag.
ETC also hosts a student reception where students can meet industry luminaries – lighting designers, educators, consultants, journalists, and employers – and connect with peers. During show hours, they will get a behind-the-curtain look at ETC and its new gear.
