WINTER PARK, FL – In an effort to aid the victims of the Haiti earthquake, Full Sail University donated more than 500 new flashlights and batteries to Harvest Time International. The flashlights were used in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for "World's Largest Torchlit (Flashlight) Logo/Image Formed by People" and were a needed item on the Haiti relief donation list. Harvest Time International provides relief to disaster, hunger and refugee victims in Central Florida and around the world. Since 1991, the organization has assisted low income and financially distressed families by helping them to meet their basic needs. The group is currently collecting a variety of items and monetary donations to send to the Haiti effort, and in addition to the flashlight and battery donation, Full Sail University is also corporately collecting items to contribute.
"On behalf of Full Sail University, our hearts are with the victims of this devastating tragedy," said Garry Jones, president of Full Sail University. "We chose Harvest Time International to make our donation to support our local non-profits in the Central Florida area, as well as Harvest Time International's well respected practices and relationships within the Haitian community."
