WILLIAMSBURG, VA – When the slight dusting of snow anticipated for Williamsburg, VA on Dec. 9 turned into five inches of wet, heavy snow, organizers of the Williamsburg Winery’s “Uncorked and Unplugged” event featuring the band Hanson opted to pull the plug on the event itself.

The timing proved fortuitous. “We were sad to cut today’s concert short, but safety first,” the band reported on an Instagram post showing a photo of the collapsed tent section. “Just a few minutes after everyone was out, the tent collapsed under the weight of all the heavy snow.”

Although some of the show attendees faced a struggle getting their cars out of the snowy parking lot, there were no injuries reported from the tent structure’s partial collapse.
