LAS VEGAS – Each year, PLSN honors regional lighting production companies with our Hometown Heroes awards. These awards honor the best regional lighting production company in six regions across North America: the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Northwest, Southwest and Canada. The best part about this is that PLSN readers — the people who actually work with these companies — get to decide who’s really the best.
Sure, we could just come up with a list ourselves, but where’s the fun in that? We are looking for your ideas on the best regional lighting production company in the U.S. and Canada. Let us know your faves (and, yes, you CAN nominate your own company).
Nominations are due by Friday, Aug. 31, at 5 p.m. West Coast time, and 36 regional finalists will be named shortly thereafter. During the month of September (Sept. 1-30), Hometown Hero voting will take place. Reader votes will narrow the 36 companies down to six regional winners.
As finalists for the Hometown Hero Lighting Company of the Year Award, the names of the six regional winners will automatically appear on the final Parnelli Awards ballot.
Parnelli voting, set for November this year, will determine which of the six finalists will be presented with the Hometown Hero Parnelli Award at the awards dinner set for Jan. 25, 2019 at the Anaheim Convention Center Hilton in Anaheim, CA.
